With the traditional press we make the great wine!
Our ambition is producing only the highest quality wines, the best of Friuli. To realize this aspiration, we approach harvesting and subsequent processing with delicacy and passion.
The grapes are harvested by hand during the coolest hours of the day, then we gather the grapes in boxes, for preserving the scent and keeping intact the organoleptic characteristics of the grape.
As once the pressing is done with the traditional press, which gives the wines wonderful features, otherwise lost.
Even the refining of wine is then very carefully. The white wines are aged in steel, red ones instead rest in oak barrels for eight months, after which the wines worthy, for structure and texture, are aged in wood. The aging of the wine continues in the bottle.
The hectares are few, as well as bottles and the cellar is just tiny, but it fits with our current production.
Flaibani, wines for passion
Our wines, from autochthon grapes and skilful blends are distinguished not only for the character, but also for variety: half of the annual production (15,000 bottles) of red wine is, in fact, happy exception to the tradition of Friuli wine production.
Among the variety of grapes, in fact, five are red berry: Schioppettino, Refosco, Cabernet Franc (Carmenère), Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot.
There are two varieties of white grapes: Pinot Grigio, made copper color, and Friulano, coming in part from an old variety with the Red Stalk.
